OK, now you know all about our engine remanufacturing, but you have a problem. You don’t think your vehicle is worth the cost of remanufacturing the engine. Or maybe you simply cannot afford it. Up until now you only had two options. Trade your vehicle and hope you don’t get someone else’s problems or buy a used engine from a salvage yard and hope for the best.

If you have bought very many cars you know what it is like trying to get a car dealer to fix something on the car you just bought.

At a salvage yard you will get a thirty day warranty, if you’re lucky, and you will still have to pay someone to reinstall the replacement engine. Do you realize that on 90% of the used engines sold, the salvage yard has no idea if the engine is good or not? Anything with less than a 150,000 miles will be in a totaled vehicle and unable to start it. The salvage yard has no liability on an engine because all they have to do is give you another engine and you pay for the installation. Try to get the salvage yard owner to cover the installation in his warranty. And do you really want to put an engine in your car which already  has over 150,000 miles on it?

Now you have a third choice. We can repair the damage to your engine. It would be impossible for anyone to say exactly how much you would save on a job like this, but in most cases you would save about $1000. In most cases we would grind the valves, hone the cylinders and polish the crankshaft. We would also replace piston rings, main bearings, rod bearings, timing chain/belt, oil pump, all gaskets and seals. We would also thoroughly inspect the rest of the engine and call the owner if anything else is needed.

And we will make this deal even better. Bring us your engine and we will disassemble it and determine what the cost will be and then you decide if you want it repaired. If you decide not to repair it, all you need to is pick up your engine and you owe us nothing. Try to get any other shop to do that.
